iPhone to use synthetic sapphire crystals from Russian Labs

For the last few months everyone has been complaining how gosh darn awful the iPhone screen is going to look after a few days in your pocket. Well yes, if you have keys, sand, and a couple thumb-tacks you would have a problem. But high density plastics and optical coatings have improved so much over the years unless you have a 5 year old cell phone, that really is the last thing you need to worry about. But, for all the little cryers out there, Apple has gone ahead an struck a deal with Vloskov Minerals of Russia to prduce synthetic sapphire plates for the front LCD screen. As you can see these are the same synthetic crystals used in many of the finest timepieces money can buy. Of course their is one draw back to HD synthetic crystals... smudging, yes folks they smudge like a bear eating a wired up toaster.
